Carpet vs Area rug cleaning

Area rugs and wall-to-wall carpets have some notable differences when it comes to cleaning. When I was cleaning a client's carpet in Sudbury, they asked me about these differences. To put it simply, area rugs are typically made of higher quality fibers and have denser piles compared to wall-to-wall carpets. Because of this, area rugs require a deeper cleaning process, sometimes involving a rug beater. Moreover, due to their denser pile, area rugs are harder to dry and often need a drying room. If not dried properly, they can become susceptible to mold growth. On the other hand, wall-to-wall carpets are generally less dense and dry more quickly and easily. Therefore, they are easier to clean and maintain.
